Vitamin C Products

Vita Living provides vitamin C supplements to help increase immune system efficiency, defend against the ravages of antioxidants and support the body in the repair and growth of all damaged tissue. Natural, healthful vitamin C is necessary for the production of collagen, which is a protein that makes up one of the basic building blocks of blood vessels, ligaments, tendons and skin. Additionally, Vitamin C helps build and maintain strong teeth, bones and cartilage. Natural vitamin C is preferable to synthetic vitamin C and can be found in many fresh fruits and vegetables as well as high quality, all-natural supplements.

Because vitamin C helps strengthen the immune system, it is helpful in preventing illnesses from the common cold to cancer. The human body cannot manufacture or store vitamin C, so it is important to get a good supply of C every day. The minimum daily requirement is quite low at about 90 milligrams a day; however, health experts recommend far more daily C than this modest amount. While many very good multivitamins only include about 200 milligrams of C, the fact is, between a thousand and two thousand milligrams daily is not excessive. It is important to remember that you should not take your C all at once. Instead, it is recommended that you get your C from a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the day in addition to supplementation to avoid upset stomach. The best thing to do is take an all natural supplement at least once a day with a meal. Be sure to eat plenty of citrus fruits, green leafy vegetables, berries and cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower. Getting ample vitamin C in the diet and through supplementation will help you enjoy vibrant good health.
